Carrying a crystal or two is a common means of magical and energetic protection. Even if you aren’t a magic practitioner, there are plenty of crystals that can help you filter out the negative energy from other people or situations.

1. Amethyst
Amethyst’s name comes from the belief that it could protect against intoxication. While that’s not necessarily true, it can help defend against nightmares when placed in a dream pillow or kept on a nightstand.

4. Carnelian
Carnelian is used to protect against theft, accidents, and natural disasters.

5. Fire agate
This red agate is used to protect against hexes, jinxes, and people who might wish you harm. If a person tries to send negative magic or energy, fire agate redirects it back to the sender.

6. Hematite
